- Monthly mood tracker (PDF) — 31 days × morning / afternoon / evening, plus a note line per day.
- Year in Pixels (PDF) — the classic 12 × 31 grid for one color per day. New to it? Read the Year in Pixels guide.
- Weekly habit & mood tracker (PDF) — morning and evening mood, sleep hours, six habits of your choice, and a weekly reflection prompt.
Other languages: Español · Português · Deutsch (swap monthly-mood-tracker for year-in-pixels or weekly-habit-mood in the link for the other sheets).
All three sheets use the same 18-mood color key — positive, neutral, intense and low families — so a month of paper tracking reads at a glance. The full list and meanings are in list of moods for a mood tracker, and palette alternatives are in the color key guide.
How do I use a printable mood tracker?
- Print on A4 or US Letter (choose "fit to page" for Letter). Thicker paper stops markers bleeding through.
- Swatch your pens against the color key before day one.
- Fill it at a fixed time — bedtime is the easiest to remember. Takes about ten seconds.
- Add a few words on days that stand out. Future-you won't remember why the 14th was red.
- Review each Sunday, then at the end of the month. Look for runs, not single days.
Which printable should I choose?
| If you want… | Use |
|---|---|
| The most detail with the least effort | Monthly mood tracker |
| One beautiful page for the whole year | Year in Pixels |
| To see which habits move your mood | Weekly habit & mood tracker |
The weekly sheet is the one that teaches you the most. Put your mood next to sleep and two or three habits you suspect matter — exercise, time outside, screen time, alcohol, seeing friends — and after four weeks patterns start to show. Our guide to habits that affect mood has ideas for what to track.
Paper or app?
Paper is tactile and pleasant, and the act of coloring a square is a calming ritual. Its weak spots are reminders (paper can't ping you), backfilling (guessing Tuesday's mood on Friday), and analysis (you have to spot patterns yourself).
A mood tracker app fixes those three. Kibun reminds you at the times you choose, timestamps every check-in, and colors the calendar for you using this same 18-mood key; Pro adds automatic habit × mood correlations. Many people use both — tap the mood in the app when it happens, color the paper page on Sunday.
